 Dear Friends,
As you might know by
now, although we fought a hard campaign, we lost yesterday the election
for the Miami-Dade School Board in District 6. I simply didn't have
the resources or the political machinery to win. I want to
thank all the volunteers who spent many hours trying to get me elected. I
will never forget your effort.
I am very proud to have
decided six months ago to run for public office for the first time in my
life. At 74 years of age, it was not an easy decision, but I felt it
was important to have an educator with experience in the School
Board. However, the voters have spoken.
I look forward to
continue working with the National Association of Cuban-American Educator
as well as supporting other worthy cultural and educational organizations.
I hope to see in the near future at many of these cultural events.
Un abrazo,
--Eduardo |
